Temple Student Government is proud to highlight a wide range of campus resources designed to support, empower, and connect the Temple community. Whether you're looking for safety tools, sustainability programs, accessibility services, or ways to get involved, these resources are here to help you thrive.
Sexual Assault Resources and Outlets
Sexual violence is prevalent on college campuses, making awareness and access to support resources essential for everyone.
This page contains information about sexual violence and related support services. Please proceed with care. If you are in crisis, you can call WOAR’s 24/7 hotline at 215-985-3333.
Sustainability Resources
Understanding and using your university’s sustainability resources empowers you to make eco-conscious choices, support campus-wide climate goals, and become part of a community working toward a more just and resilient future.
Public Safety
At Temple, your safety is a shared responsibility—and that starts with knowing what’s available to protect and support you. From the TU Safe app that sends emergency alerts and offers a virtual escort feature, to the network of blue light emergency phones across campus that connect you directly to help.
You also have access to FLIGHT, Temple’s free shuttle service, which operates during late-night hours to get you home safely. Understanding policies around student conduct and reporting concerns ensures you know how to advocate for yourself and others in difficult situations.
Accessibility Resources
At Temple University, accessibility is about equity, not exception. The Disability Resources and Services (DRS) office is the central support hub for students with disabilities, providing accommodations such as extended testing time, accessible course materials, housing support, assistive technology, and communication access services like ASL interpretation and CART transcription.
Through the MyDRS portal, students can easily request and manage their accommodations online, ensuring access to the tools they need to succeed. Beyond academics, Temple works to create a fully inclusive campus—from accessible building design to digital accessibility standards. TechOWL, housed within Temple’s Institute on Disabilities, also offers assistive devices and support to promote independence and participation.
To ensure DRS continues to serve students effectively, Temple Student Government has launched a student feedback survey where you can share your experiences and suggestions. Your voice matters in making accessibility stronger across campus.
Community Service
Temple University’s Community Service Coalition (CSC), established under Temple Student Government, unites students in meaningful service to address pressing social issues in Philadelphia. This student-led initiative brings together diverse student organizations and community partners to tackle challenges like homelessness, education inequality, healthcare access, and environmental justice.
Beyond the Community Service Coalition, students can participate in various programs and initiatives designed to foster civic engagement and social responsibility, like the Service Immersion Program or Community Scholars.
Registered Student Organizations
Student organizations are at the heart of campus life at Temple, and understanding the resources available to you as a student leader or member can make all the difference. Whether you're looking to start a new organization or grow an existing one, knowing how to navigate the STARS system is essential—it tracks your organization's standing, training progress, and eligibility for funding. Regularly attending Town Halls connects you to updates, collaboration opportunities, leadership development tools, and maintains your status as a Registered Student Organization RSO.
If you're part of an RSO, it's crucial to understand the allocations process, which provides funding for events, initiatives, and operations. The Allocations Committee is your go-to resource for budget questions and proposal support. From navigating policy guidelines to promoting your events and accessing campus spaces, being aware of these tools empowers you to lead effectively, build community, and bring your ideas to life.
